What You Can Do After Deployment

1. Create an account — the first user to register automatically becomes the server admin
2. Set up libraries — point Kavita to your uploaded media directories
3. Browse & read — responsive web reader optimized for phones, tablets, and desktops
4. Manage metadata — edit series info, download metadata from online sources, scrobble reading activity
5. Share access — create user accounts with role-based permissions
6. Customize themes — apply community themes from the Kavita theme repository
7. Connect apps — use OPDS-compatible readers (Tachiyomi, Paperback, Panels)

• Comics: CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT, PDF
• Books: EPUB, PDF
• Manga: CBZ, archive formats
• Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF

Reading Modes

• Left-to-right, right-to-left, vertical (webtoon), continuous scrolling, and virtual page splitting

Environment Variables

Variable	Description
TZ	Timezone (default: UTC)

• First user to register becomes the admin
• Upload media via Zeabur volume or external storage integration
• Built-in SQLite database — no external DB required
