SyncTV

🎬 SyncTV is a program that allows you to watch movies and live broadcasts together remotely with friends and family, no matter where they are.

Features

  • Synchronized viewing: video sync and live sync, so everyone watching is always at the same point (pause, rewind, fast-forward and speed changes are all synced)
  • Theater mode: built-in chat and bullet-chat (danmaku) for interacting while watching
  • Proxy: video proxy and live proxy for sources that are slow to connect to directly
  • Parsing: parse video/live links, with built-in support for AList, Bilibili and Emby as media sources

Deployment

This is a one-click deployment for SyncTV. No extra configuration is required before first use — just deploy and visit your assigned domain.

Getting Started

  1. Open your SyncTV domain in a browser. You will land on the login page.
  2. Log in with the default administrator account: username root, password root.
  3. Change the default password immediately after your first login, since root/root is a public default credential known to anyone running SyncTV.
  4. After logging in, click your username (top right) to enter Personal Center, or click Admin Panel to access the management backend.
  5. In the Admin Panel you can configure user settings, room settings, registration settings, OAuth2 login providers, and bind media platforms like AList, Bilibili or Emby.
  6. Go back to the home page and click Create Room, give it a name and (optionally) a password.
  7. Inside the room, add a video via direct link, live stream link, or from a bound platform (e.g. AList/Emby), then click play — everyone in the room will watch in sync.

Data Persistence

All configuration and database files are stored in the mounted volume, so your rooms, users, and settings survive redeployments and image updates.
